Synopsis
Our Little Secret is a breathtaking psychological portrait motivated by thriller genre undertones woven throughout the narrative of a seemingly perfect community. Directed by John Krz, the film covers the life of three interconnected people and the inescapable web of deceit, obsession, and betrayal that is bound to swallow them all. The storyline focuses on dark, charming and dangerously nostalgic woman, Hannah (Lily Collins) who comes back to her hometown after years, but her return trigger some dangerous old connections.
Hannah makes the first move, and contacts Emma (Florence Pugh), a sweet school teacher who seems to, and to Hannah’s surprise, has a darker emotional side particularly with Cambree knowing everything about it. Next, there is Michael (Sebastian Stan), Emma’s ex- husband, a grumpy and cynical private investigator who works at The Guardian. All three writers have a tailor-made misinterpretation. One of them could define with and label Hannah as a black gaze, but Emma seems to spin the mood around.
The resurrected friendship of Hannah and Emma left in its wake some really harsh times to remember. Once again the equally-wise Hannah surfaces and she is never going to ever caress Emma again making her do everything and lie for everything that she desires.
